The Most Important Aspect of Body Composition

Before you can hope to master a skill or discipline you must first acquire an understanding for the basic, core principles of that subject. This means having an accurate understanding of what factors are the most important ones associated with reaching your desired outcome. Having a map to guide you on a voyage is only as useful is it is accurate.

Body composition is a skill, a discipline and to some, an art form. To master it, a strong awareness of the most influential factors, the core principles, is essential. Many people are referring to inaccurate maps for direction to body composition and health. As with any complex goal, there are dozens of factors in the equation that equals body composition, here's just a few: age, light exposure, mental attitude, genetics, mental stress, calories consumed, calories burned, diet, exercise, sleep, antibiotic use, medications, birth control and toxin/pollution exposure from air, food, soaps, dies, lotions, personal care products and plastics. Our goal here is not to address all of these factors, as some of them are a very small part of the equation. Though awareness of these factors is important, spending significant time and energy on them will generate marginal benefits in terms of body composition. Instead, let’s focus on just a few of the most important aspects of body composition.
